IRONMAN France 2010 : Erika Csomor pour la médaille !

Erika Csomor (HON) participera à la sixième édition de la compétition niçoise. A 36 ans, lathlète de la Team TBB a déjà à son actif de nombreux podiums en 70.3 et Longue Distance, ce qui la place en bonne posture pour Nice. Comment abordera-t-elle cette course ? Réponse le 27 juin prochain.

Né en 1973 à Budapest, Erika Csomor est une valeur sure du plateau pro féminin. Elle débute en duathlon où elle remporte ses premières victoires. En 2001, elle obtient une médaille d’argent au Championnat du Monde Longue Distance. La même année, elle devient Championne du monde du Duathlon ITU en Italie quelle récupère deux ans plus tard, en Belgique. En 2004, elle décroche aussi le bronze au Championnat du Monde de Duathlon Longue Distance au Danemark.

Erika Csomor franchit une nouvelle étape en commençant le triathlon. Là encore, son palmarès la distingue : 2ème  au Championnat du Monde de Triathlon Longue Distance à Lorient (2007), vainqueur du Ford Ironman 70.3 Californie en mars 2008, battant le record de Michellie Jones, elle finit 2ème de lIronman « Quelle Challenge Roth » en juillet 2008 et monte sur la 2ème marche du podium de lIronman 70.3 Switzerland en juin 2009.

A Nice, Erika Csomor se lance un nouveau défi. « Just do it » aime-t-elle à dire. 4ème au Championnat du Monde Ironman à Hawaii en 2008 et 1ère à lIronman Arizona en 2008, lathlète sera challenger pour le titre féminin de lIronman France auquel elle participe pour la première fois.

Ironman France 2010: Erika Csomor for the medal!

Erika Csomor (HON) will compete in the sixth edition of the race in Nice. At 36, the athlete of Team TBB, has already recorded several podiums in 70.3 and Long Distance, which puts her in a good position for Nice. How will she manage the race? Answer: wait for the 27th of June.

Born in Budapest in 1973, Erika Csomor is a credit to the pro female field. She began with duathlon where she won her first victories. In 2001, she got a bronze medal at the World Long Distance Championship. That same year, she became World Champion in ITU Duathlon Italy. She won the title again two years later in Belgium. In 2004, she finished 3rd at the World Long Distance Duathlon Championship in Denmark.

Erika Csomor goes one step further by taking on the triathlon. Her records single her out, once more: 2nd at the World Championship Long Distance Triathlon Lorient (2007), winner of the Ford Ironman 70.3 California in March 2008, breaking the record of Michellie Jones, she took second place at the Ironman “What challenge Roth “in July 2008 and climbed onto the second step of the podium at Ironman 70.3 Switzerland in June 2009.

In Nice, Erika Csömör is challenging herself. “Just do it” she likes to say. 4th at the World Championship Ironman in Hawaii in 2008 and first at Ironman Arizona in 2008, this PRO female athlete will be a serious challenger for the title of Ironman France, which she is competing in for the first time.
