Mike Aigroz à l’Ironman Nice

IRONMAN France-Nice : le recordman bike revient !

Pour lIRONMAN France 2008, sa performance le plaçait sans rival à vélo sur cette course. Classé sixième lors de la 4ème édition du triathlon azuréen, Mike Aigroz (SUI) revient à Nice en 2010 en prétendant du podium .

A 32 ans, Mike Aigroz (SUI) est un
triathète professionnel passionné. Lathlète se distingue, dune part,
en compétition IRONMAN 70.3 : 2nd de lIRONMAN 70.3 Suisse en juin
2009, 4ème en 2008. Il défend aussi bien les couleurs du Triathlon Club
de Genève sur IRONMAN classique, format quil affectionne
particulierement. 

« Nager lhiver, à six heures du matin, quand la ville est plongée dans
le noir. Enfourcher un vélo, avaler du bitume des heures durant. Puis,
courircourir encore, sur les routes et chemins. Pourquoi tous ces
efforts, ces défis, cette souffrance ? Bonne questionJe me la pose
souvent. Jai la réponse quand je me retrouve en tête du fameux IRONMAN
de Nice pendant plus de 6 heures de course. [] Si cest ça, être
fouAlors oui je veux bien être fou. Passionnément! »  raconte-t-il.

Ainsi, en aout 2009, sa seconde place sur lIRONMAN de Penticton, au
Canada, lui avait offert son sésame hawaien. Recordman de lépreuve
vélo de lIRONMAN de Nice France bouclée en 04:44:26 en 2008, il aborde
2010 avec un gout de revanche. Cycliste affuté, sa présence promet du
spectacle sur les routes de lArrière pays niçois.

IRONMAN France-Nice bike record holder is back!

For the IRONMAN France 2008, his performance made him without bike
rival on this race. Ranked sixth in the 4th edition of the French
Riviera triathlon, Mike Aigroz (SWI) comes back to Nice in 2010, as
pretender for the podium.

At 32 years old, Mike Aigroz is a passioned professional triathete.
First, he performs in competition IRONMAN 70.3 : 2nd in the IRONMAN
70.3 Switzerland in June 2009, 4th in 2008. As well as that half
IRONMAN, he honours Triathlon Club of Geneva in classic IRONMAN he is
fond of.

“Swimming in the winter, at six o’clock in the morning, when the city
is into darkness. Sit astride a bike, cover distance for hours Then,
run … run again on the roads and paths. Why all these efforts, these
challenges, this suffering? Good question … I often wonder. I have
the answer when I find myself at the head of the famous IRONMAN Nice
for more than six hours of racing. […] If thats it, be crazy … So
yes I will be. Passionately! “He says.

Thus, in august 2009, his second place in the Ironman Penticton,
Canada, had given him his Hawaiian sesame. Race record holder on Bike
at Ironman Nice France in 2008 with a time of 04:44:26, he enters 2010
with a flavor of revenge. Cycling hardened, his presence promises
moments of show in store on the road of the Country Side of Nice.
